Stanislaus 2030
Stanislaus 2030 is a collaboration among business, government, and civic stakeholders to create and deliver a joint strategy and investment plan for regional economic growth and opportunity in the coming decade.
At the heart of Stanislaus 2030 are two questions:
How can we build a resilient economy so that more community members experience financial success?
And how can we catalyze significant industry and small business growth in the next decade and beyond?
$75,750,000 is the initial investment ask to help build a resilient economy in Stanislaus County, according to the Stanislaus 2030 Investment Blueprint. This strategic investment blueprint was released after almost a year-long intensive ‘sprint’ process co-funded by private business leaders, local cities and the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors.
The sprint process was co-led by local business leaders, higher education officials, and government partners, alongside labor and community-based organizations. The initiative’s leadership structure reflected the region’s broad geographic, demographic and industry interests, and hundreds of community members participated in the process and provided feedback along the way.
The investment blueprint highlights the highest leverage strategies based on a comprehensive market assessment completed by the renowned Brookings Institution. Stanislaus 2030 launched multiple local workgroups that created key strategies based on the market assessment’s findings. The Investment Blueprint identifies these strategies and includes the estimated price tag to jumpstart each idea. Investments are anticipated to come from multiple sources, including private investors as well as public funding at the federal, state, and local level.
